The 35-year-old man with Down syndrome was left to die in a hot van by his caretaker.
The 26 year old driver who had been caring for the client during their hospital visit fell asleep while driving back home and woke up sweating from all of the heat he’d endured inside the car without realizing that Lapointe wasn’t breathing anymore.
